Commented Unassigned: Shape file opens in 1.4, but not in 1.6 or 1.7 [25771]

Just to report that I can open the attached shape file by using Visual Studio 2010 and the DotSpatial 1.4.

However, when I try to use the versions 1.6 or 1.7, the function "FeatureSet.Open" throw an exception.

No luck after following the steps:

1) I downloaded again the 1.7 release of DotSpatial.
2) I copied/replaced the dlls into the VS project folder.
3) I deleted the reference to the dlls in the project and add them again pointing to the new copied dlls
4) Rebuild solution. After this, the windows application runs, but throws the exception while trying to open this shape file and also other shape files. So, it does not seem to be a problem of this particular shape file.
6) Copy back the 1.4 version dll files and rebuild solution. After this, shape files are opened without problem.
